Pet Memorials For Your Fave Talking Mynah
Wednesday, April 25th, 2012In one of my trips to a military camp in the south, my hubby and I had to stop for lunch along a secluded area in the highway. The restaurant is owned by a retired general, and served mostly chicken and noodles and sautéed vegetables in a big platter. It was there that I first heard Cesar, the talking Mynah. It was calling my name, “Linda!, Linda! Miss Beautiful!” And my hubby was beside the bird. Before we left, we had our picture taken with Cesar by one of the cooks in the restaurant, in my cellular phone. It was such a memorable day because I was wearing a red dress which reflected the bird’s beak. We were told that Cesar, aside from the tasty dishes there, was among the reasons why people from all over the place go there to eat because they wanted to see Cesar do his tricks. Every time that I go back to that same military camp, I always stopped at the same spot to listen to Cesar do the talking. And every time that I returned there, the bird was learning additional words and sentences, and naughty words which always draw laughter from us. But one day in 2010, when my hubby and I, together with our daughter Claui, stopped to dine in the same restaurant, a different bird was on the same perch owned by Cesar because they told us that Cesar died. And to preserve his memory, Pet Memorials of Cesar, the talking Mynah was all over the entrance of the restaurant, including a casted picture of Cesar in a glass, and written underneath were his very first words: “Miss Beautiful”!
